Tanesha's Work.

“We know the school-to-prison pipeline is a real phenomenon, wreaking havoc on the lives of far too many Black and Brown children, children with disabilities and children identifying as LGBTQ.”

Advocacy for Black Parents

Zakiya focuses on what the experiences of black boys in schools tells us about anti-black racism in American society, and the transformation of parents of color into movement builders. Zakiya is a proven leader in successfully organizing Black parents to push back on schools that harm our children.
